“In my place condemned He stood.”

Today was the day He was killed.

Today was the day when their shouts of praise turned to shouts of “Crucify Him!”

They spit on Him. They mocked Him. They flogged Him.

He was nailed to the cross for the sins of those who crucified Him…

…for my sins;

for everyone’s.

“For there is love that is as strong as death; jealousy, demanding as the grave. Many waters cannot quench this love.”

How simply and utterly beautiful.
